什麼藝術 竟讓肯爺捐出1千萬美元力挺？

在2018年12月，因緣際會下 Kanye West 拜訪了藝術家 James Turrell，並參觀了他的藝術項目「Roden Crater」，隨後馬上在 Twitter 上表示「這是一場改變人生的經歷」。或許是在相處時間裡被James Turrell 所折服了，Kanye West 決定捐贈1,000萬美元，幫助完成「Roden Crater」計劃。

當代知名藝術家 James Turrell 善用「光與空間」作為媒介，用來表現和探索人們對於感知、感官刺激、空間轉換的視覺與心理反應；而在70年代佩恩蒂德沙漠發現了羅登火山口後，James Turrell便展開了這項名為「Roden Crater」的藝術項目，他致力於將其改造成一個天文台及一系列的隧道。知名歌手 Drake 的經典單曲〈Hotline Bling〉的 MV 靈感，就來自這位強大的藝術家。

所謂英雄惜英雄，兼具藝術家身分的Kanye West這個行為，大大地幫助了計劃的推進，James Turrell也預計將在5年內完成這個作品，實在讓人等不及啊！
